Drumming for Peace

Calling on the wisdom of the drum to help regulate anxiety, calm the nervous system, and return ourselves to a state of connectedness through rhythm and musical ritual.

This offering is designed for highly anxious clients who have trouble staying with their body and breath during difficult times. For those that find themselves on the brink of panic, fear, overwhelm and disassociation when met with the external pressures of relationships, work, family dynamics and fear of disapproval or disappointment. Together, I will walk you through grounding rituals and teach you to use frame drum, voice, and breath to reclaim a sense of embodiment and presence in daily life. Sessions take place online and in person as short-term expressive arts psychotherapy for 3-5 sessions. If space is available, we can continue with regularly scheduled psychotherapy incorporating other clinical approaches.
